These terms have now been abolished in favor of terminology requiring the parents to develop a “parenting plan”. A parenting plan is one that establishes the times each parent spends with his or her children. Neither parent will be designated as the primary or custodial parent. Likewise, there will not be a secondary parent nor a visitation schedule.
